VBC Summer School Symposium
28 Aug 2026
This week marked the conclusion of the VBC Summer School, which brought together 19 outstanding students from universities across Europe, Asia, North America and South America. Over the summer, the students joined research groups at CeMM, GMI, IMBA, IMP and the Max Perutz Labs, combining hands-on research with lectures, seminars and social activities. At the Fellows’ Symposium on the last day, they presented their projects across a broad range of scientific fields, including immunity, gene expression, structural biology and developmental biology.
Our summer school student Mia presented her work on poly-A tail independent translation in the zebrafish germ line, which she worked on together with Ezra over the past three months. A big thank you to all supervisors and participating labs for their dedication and mentorship throughout the programme!
