Welcome to Mia, our ‘Talents for Future’ student

Mia is an undergraduate Biology student at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencia Aplicadas in Lima, Peru. She joins the Pauli lab for 3 months under the Talents-for-Future program, a part of the VBC summer school. In Lima, Mia works in the lab of Prof. Pohl Milón to untangle the dynamics of translational initiation in E. coli. In Vienna, she will be expanding her horizons into eukaryotic translation, studying the mechanisms of Poly-A Independent Non-canonical Translation (PAINT) in early zebrafish embryogenesis with Ezra.
