As part of an international collaboration formed during Covid-times to bring the simple, home-made VBC LAMP assay to countries where it could really make a difference for diagnostic testing, Andi spent 10 days in Ghana, Africa, together with the 2 students that had spearheaded the VBC LAMP assay here in Vienna as well as international collaborators from Ghana (WACCBIP), Cameroon, Cambridge UK and Nigeria.
